This policy summarizes how physical samples are treated while in our custody. Its full operational version is available on request and appears in every quality agreement.
Handling rules
- Custody — samples are touched only by named, trained staff; every handover is recorded
- Storage — short-term storage only, in the temperature condition the material requires; we are not a biorepository
- Rejection — material arriving leaking, mislabeled, or without required documentation is quarantined and reported, not shipped onward
- After delivery — our custody ends with the receiving laboratory's signed acceptance
- Undeliverable shipments — you are contacted with options (return, redirection to another laboratory, or destruction per your written instruction) before any action
- Destruction — only on your written instruction, with a destruction certificate returned to you
