What a Category B move includes
- Triple packaging per Packing Instruction 650: leak-proof primary, 95 kPa-tested secondary, rigid outer with UN specification mark
- Correct marking and labeling: UN 3373 label, proper shipping name, sender and consignee details
- Absorbent material and cushioning sized to the primary receptacles
- Temperature control (ambient, 2–8 °C, frozen) matched to the sample's stability requirements
- Carrier-compliant documentation and reference-lab booking confirmation
- Exempt-specimen handling (e.g. dried blood spots) where the material qualifies
